Spotted Orchid (10ml)

Dactylorhiza fuchsia

To help us to overcome difficulties and blocks on our path of personal growth.

This small pyramidal orchid grows in damp places, flowering in similar habitats to Bog Asphodel. Indeed, in some locations they can be seen flowering together. Sooner or later, all those who have embarked on a path of personal growth will meet a block. Frequently this block is the unspoken question “Where do I go from here?” At such points we can feel lost and bewildered; sometimes wondering whether we have done a wise thing in setting out on our quest at all.

Often this is where we turn to a teacher or guru figure. The help gained from others can be problematical, however, depending on where we are and where they are, on our respective paths. Personal growth and evolution are rather like finding our way through a large maze. There are dead ends, loops back along the path, and dangers as well. Not really for the faint-hearted!

That is why we all need help and encouragement from time to time. We are, after all, human, with very real needs. Yet the rewards of following a personal quest are incalculable. Spotted Orchid can provide support and guidance, sometimes pointing us to another part of our personal maze that we need to explore. It is not necessarily an easy essence to work with.

It can make us afraid if it prompts us to “go out on a limb” and we have to accept responsibility for it. Yet it also supports us in our quest for our own personal “holy grail”. Above all it empowers us, helping us to have the courage of our convictions and to converse more easily with our own soul essence.

Spotted Orchid can be seen as rather like an emissary of the Truth, mirroring our Soul Desire and Divine Will. It can guide us, encourage and support us, but we have to do all the hard work!
