Winter Blend Kit

Our Winter Blend is a synergistic composite of essential oils based on a formula developed by the French physician, Jean Valnet. Dr. Valnet, a major in the French Army during WWII, became famous for his work with essential oils in the treatment of wounded and ill soldiers. Winter Blend is his respiratory germ buster for sinusitis, influenza and bronchitis. It consists of Eucalyptus, Thyme, Pine and Lavender oils. We have added Tea Tree oil also known for its antiseptic properties.

ROOM DIFFUSION

Winter blend maybe diffused in the home or workplace during the cold months of the year to protect against and combat respiratory infections. Just add 10-15 drops in an essential oil diffuser or in just-boiled water. Its gentle but effective vapours will permeate the room.

INHALATION

Winter Blend may also be used in inhalation by placing 10-15 drops in just-boiled water. This may be done 2-3 times per day for a period of one week. It is also available in pocket or purse size inhaler.

TOPICAL APPLICATION

Winter Blend may be rubbed into chest and back after it has been diluted to a 3% concentration in a vegetable oil such as Sweet Almond or Grape Seed. To get a 3% dilution divide the number of milliliters of vegetable oil by 2 and add that number of drops of Winter Blend. E.g. 50ml Almond Oil ÷ 2 =25. So, add 25 drops of Winter Blend to the 50ml of Sweet Almond.

IN THE BATH

The 3% concentration described above can also be used in the bath. Just pour 2-3 cap fulls into the bath.

CAUTIONS

Thyme oil, a constituent of Winter Blend, is a skin irritant. We therefore do not recommend its use in the bath undiluted as it can cause great discomfort to the body’s more sensitive areas. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. KEEP AWAY FROM EYES AND MOUTH. DO NOT INGEST. In case of skin irritation apply a vegetable oil such as olive or sweet almond oil to the affected body part to dilute the Blend.
